LEXUS CHALLENGE – Contrary to popular belief, LC does not stand for Lexus coupe or luxury coupe.  LC stands for Lexus Challenge.  This is a challenge that CEO Akio Toyoda came up with and mandated in the creation of the 2018 LC500.

CRAFTSMANSHIP – Even the leather-covered shift lever has been stitched such that the thread is buried within the seams to aid comfort. 10 layers of a urethane sheet for padding.

BRAKES – Front Brake Caliper diameter 15.7 in. the wheel size of the 1990 LS400 is 15 in.  Brakes are BIGGER that the WHEEL or the original LS.

TAILLIGHTS – Taillamps have 80 L.E.D’s each and use the infinity mirror principle which appears dimensionally endless and are patterned after a jet afterburner.The infinite afterburner appearance is actually a strategically placed one-way mirror with the tail light reflecting back on itself — the full lamp assembly is only 3 inches deep.  

HEADLIGHTS – The headlights are composed of a Polaric Ellipsoid System.  This design allows for a lens that is half the size of a conventional LED lamp, and can be placed directly in front of the wheel arch. Also integrated is the next-generation Lexus DRL design, which has been reworked to eliminate grain in the light signature.
